Here is the source for replacement back light material from a few years
back:
"Hi everyone, All the El backlight material has been spoken
for plus a couple backups.
Should you like to continue with this project contact
Melinda Deroeck at ELtech, she is a great person to work
with!!!

e-mail: mderoeck@prismnet.com or 512-252-1299

Ask her about the NovaLite/FirstLite proto type kit. The
price is $50.00 ea. It is a
6" x 10" sheet with 7 sets of connectors installed. This
sheet will make 5, Display useable pieces. The other 2 have
connectors on the side. These connectors are take a little
push to get into the display. I would be afraid of damaging
the LCD display sliding them in that far.

Hope everyone has a great Turkey Day........
