I've been using WD40 to soak the parts in. Then use a tooth brush, Qtips and
something to scrape the dried stuff off with. I suppose some stronger
solvent might work but I don't want to risk eating up the plastic parts.
I've been uisng silicon based gease. I just got a tube of nice looking
grease from Radio Shack called Lube Gel. I've found about any silicon grease
works better than that sticky stuff TT uses. Seldom is it necessary to
replace any parts. Just be careful and don't loose the bearings and the
little brass pin!
