CQ Magazine has announced 44 inductees for the Amateur Radio Hall of Fame
this year. Full details of the announcement can be found at
http://www.arrl.org/news/stories/2002/05/31/102/?nc=1

Of special note to lovers of classic radio equipment are these inductees:

Bill Halligan W9AC, Founder of Hallicrafters
Al Kahn K4FW, Founder of Electro-Voice & Co-Founder of Ten Tec

Ed Clegg W3LOY / W2LOY / W8LOY, founder, Clegg Communications
Robert L. Drake W8CYE, Founder, RL Drake Company
Bill Eitel W6UF & Jack McCullough W6CHE, Co-Founders of EIMAC
Mike Ercolino W2BDS, Founder of Telrex Antennas
Tokuzo Inoue JA3FA, Founder, Inoue Communications Company (ICOM)
Leo Myserson W0GFQ, Founder of WRL
James Millen W1HRX, developer of the HRO Receivers for National Radio &
Founder of the James Millen Company

...which is not of course meant to slight the remainder! The only sad note
is that so many of these are now SK, but in almost every case, these
nominations are long overdue and long deserved, IMHO.
