Have you given any thought that lightning may have  gotten in to this rig at
some point in time. The reason that I suggest that is that I have had a
paragon for over 10 years and have never the cover off except to install new
filters. I had a yaekencom that lightning got into and after 3 trips to the
service center it was just one thing after another for the next 8 yrs. I
think I probably changed out 15 diodes that failed over the years.
