Jim:

Sorry, I mis read your initial post and thus answered incorrectly.

Let me re-state my text and my belief as to such.
A 653 with upgrade is a ONMI VI with opt 3 and should be advertised as such.
And a 654 is  a OMNI VI+ and should be advertised as such.

There is a difference technically, in appearance, age, and performance.
