Couple of comments on George/Jim's interesting
remarks:
Looking at the photos of the inside/top view of the
Orion, I believe and I'm hoping that I see relays
being used to switch all the BPF's, not PIN diodes.
Radcom has been running a series of articles on a very
high end transceiver design (CDG2000), and the
designers found significant differences in IMD using
9.0Mhz xtal filters from different vendors.
