I have found that the header socket on the display board tends to lose its
"spring" over time, resulting in poor or sporadic contact. What I did with mine
was to gently push the mating surface back to its original position with a
straight pin.

The numeric display on my Omni V has started to change intensity. For a
while it's bright, then dim, then bright.

This doesn't effect performance, but needs to be rectified. There doesn't
seem to be anything that the rig is doing - transmitting, tuning,
bandswitching, etc. - that causes the change.

I have cleaned the contacts as best I could with DeOxit.

Any ideas?
