I can't speak to the Corsair I, but replacing the 4-pole with the 8-pole SSB
filter in the Argosy 525 makes one whale of a difference on CW. (I can't
speak to SSB, either). If I owned your Corsair I, I'd replace that filter
in a heartbeat!
