Yes, the Argosy uses crystal mixing. Another place to look is the band switch; a shot of DeOxit may help out a great deal.

Hello Ten Tec group

First, it is nice to be a part of the ten tec group and see all the TT
related emails.

I have an analog Argosy that is dead on 40 meters when first turned on,

both

receive and transmit. All other bands work fine, even when cold.

40 meters however, will not operate until the radio has warmed up for at
least an hour, and then it works fine.

Where should I start looking to fix the cold start glitch on 40m?

Once I fix the Argosy, then I need to fix the dead 17m band on the Corsair
