Occasionally, my 1320 will slightly jump frequency between the first dit and
the second dit (or dash) in a string. This usually happens at the higher
frequency setting of the VFO within the band. I saw this problem mentioned
in the archives, but never was able to find an answer to the gentlemen's
problem.

After looking at the schematic and comparing the amplifier chain of the VFO
with other circuit designs, I decided to place a .1 uf cap directly across
the emitter resistor, R57, of the VFO output amp Q18. (Many designs show two
resistors here with only one being bypassed.)

Books indicate that I've added some degenerative feedback... By doing this,
I've corrected the problem. My question is...what else have I done?

Thanks,
Joe ( WJ5MH )
