While it's everyone to their own tastes, as the goodman said that kissed the
pig, I actually had an OmniV and VI on line at the same time. There was very
little difference between them but guest ops had a much shorter learning
curve on the VI and the VI+'s.
As far as rigs go, the ONLY thing I care about is performance. I can't work
the weak ones, or the strong ones, with a piece of paper. The three Omni's
around my shacks are very very close in performance, and have sent a bunch of
folks toting the "latest and greatest rig on earth" home unhappy with their
purchases.
Here in the real world, if the Orion outperforms the Omni VI and VI+ you will
see FS Omni VI+ or Option 3 postings with my call on the reflector. Otherwise
I will hang on to what I have until something better comes along.
