A couple of Orion comments:
I noticed in the March QST that there were at least 5 large display ads from
different dealers all offering the ProII at discounts. I'm wondering if
they are trying to blow out their ProIIs in advance of the Orion release on
the theory that after word about Orion gets out they'll have to discount
their ProIIs even more to sell them?
When the monochromatic display news came out, I was a little disappointed
(this was last year). Since then I've been noticing that all the status
displays I've seen on professional equipment have all been mono. I've come
around to thinking TT made the right decision on this--it makes the Orion
look more like a serious piece of communications gear and less like a toy
(video game).
