Thanks, I think the Black Dot must be later 90's then. $1450 for a $2200 amp 
is
a steal for that. I'm no Contester, so all i need is something for long 
ragchews and
net operations on the lower bands. I have a Herc II also, for backup.  73's 
Todd.
