Yes, it's the same as "CW" and "CW-R" on your old Kenwood, and the same
as "CW LSB" and "CW USB" on Yaesu rigs.

It's your choice on which CW mode you want to use on whatever band you
use (it doesn't affect your CW transmit signal like SSB does).

Ideally, when you have a received CW signal tuned in at the SPOT pitch
(i.e., you're zero beat with the received signal), when you switch to
the other CW mode the signal will still be there at the same pitch.
However, if you adjust the 500Hz or 250Hz filter center frequency off of
"0" (which I must do), you must retune the signal in when you switch CW
modes. This is a nuisance, but no big deal with me.

I set up my center frequency offsets while in the UCW mode. They were in
the -200 area for my 500Hz and 250Hz filters. When I switched to LCW, I
had to adjust them to the +200 area to have them centered. In case I
ever did switch CW modes, this would be a problem, so I stored the
settings for UCW in USER1 memory and the settings for LCW in USER2
memory.

It still would be a problem for me to switch CW modes, because it takes
so long before the rig is ready after pressing either USER button.
