Paul,
I just made up the 3 wire cable that Jim described. It works perfectly.
Remember, Jim could not get his to work with the rs422 converter. I am
starting to believe the units have already been modified for rs232. That
would explain a lot. My guess would be to put the unit back to original.
Jim's and mine work directly on rs232 that way.
