Oh, I though you start with the capacitors at maximum capacitance,  or
is that for the "SPC" or the Ultimate transmatch design? I am building a
transmatch using the variable toroid inductor that Ten Tec used in their
small tuners, which I believe were "T circuits. The inductor
construction does not lend itself to series use in a "L" network because
the adjustable tap is grounded to the shaft and mounting bracket, but
maybe I could insulate it. Maybe a mid-course design change is in order:
an L might work better than a T.

The lowly but indispensable transmatch is one of the few items that can
be homebrewed better than many commercial one on the amateur market.
