Thanks Carl...exactly what I needed and how I measured the 500 Hz!
Now I'm wondering why the 500 Hz was so far off. Guess I'll go ahead
and exchange for a 219!

That's a standard depth for bandwidth of a tuned circuit.
No it is 6 dB bandwidth per the .pdf spec here:

3 dB might be standard elsewhere but both Inrad and TenTec use 6 dB.
