Hi Chris,

The reason there's no instruction in the manual is that its complicated. If
you have electronics training you might proceed. If I tried to explain it
the engineer types on the reflector would have me flogged. So you are
invited to proceed with what you are prepared to do to fix this problem and
the aforementioned will most likely lead you down the righteous path.
Ive had my Omni 6/opt1 since '99 and adore it. A local RF pro, a friend,
explained it to me, but Im afraid I cannot talk the talk so I dare not walk.
My O6 is '95 vintage and one day the readout left its accuracy behind. It
took a crystal on the L.O. board, some realignment, and checking the
Referenc Osc. 10Mhz and the 5Mhz PLL which brought my rig back from
wandering. It may be any one of these, though Im not prepared to
explain it further.  The other obvious fix is to send the rig in to Ten Tec
after discussing the problem.
