I hate having to feed 12V into the tuner and replacing
pilot lamps, etc. So . . . . .
Remove the smoked plexiglass plate that covers the
meter and dial pointer. Just use adhesive back
Post-It type strips of paper above the tuning
indicator to make marks for your tuning, or do
something more fancy. No need to use a pilot lamp
anymore without the plexiglass. I actually prefer the
way it looks without the dark plexiglass plate.
