I was amazed that the K2 is so good that it produces RF output BEFORE the
key is closed. Look closely at both the key closure and RF pulse lines!
Possibly the reason for both the Orion first dit and the K2 second dit is
the way the scope is triggered.

I am curious. Why does a rig, that is one of the best for QSK, shorten
the first dit. If it can switch from receiving to transmitting and back
for every dit and dah, what is different about the first dit or dah. Why
isn't the end of transmit delayed an equal amount of time as is
necessary for the delay of beginning of transmit, and why is it
different on the first dit?
