There is only one small, overlooked "problem": would you want to have
computer to have sex for you?
And that's what you don't get. Using technology, computers, switching five
radios is OK if the rules allow it. Using packet, too much power etc amounts to
going shooting animals in the zoo, or hunting bears with cannon. Like
"working" DX on a list or the last two....
Read the contest rules, operate few contests, win something and then comment.
Just like someone said, walk in his shoes a mile first and then bitch (oops,
express your opinion :-)
