Todays HF RX technology does bandwidth limited IF DSP at only 36 kHz or
baseband processing at 0-3 kHz.
There are more cycles available at IF carrier and better detection results
can be achieved.
TS-570 and many other DSP RX problems come from fast AGC preventing A/D
converter overflow.
It is so audible on TS-970 as CW keying by nearby strong signals within
roofing filter.
