In terms of what K5UJ and K8VT are discussing: one
rig's "2.8Khz" receive selectivity is not equal to
another's. There is an unbelievable difference
between the Orion and Omni VI+ in this regard when
listening to a signal that is more than 2Khz wide.
Some guys don't care if they hear all the lows and
highs, and that's fine. But when ragchewing, I'd
personally like to hear a faithful reproduction of
what the other guy is transmitting.
