This firmware update thing is working!! Was running v1.370 with no real 
problems. Did a master reset, ran the update, did another master reset 
(overkill !!). The selection of items in the menu now works like a dream! Maybe 
I  really needed to completely dump the Orion's memory, but now the receiver 
really sounds so much quiter and cleaner after these resets.Noise Reduction now 
 sounds excellent again. Anyway...bit by bit...the firmware update thing is 
working!!
