If Ten Tec were to do what you suggest, take the LCD screen up a notch, it
wouldnt be a Ten Tec.
If Ten Tec hired a bunch of Yaesu, Icom or Kenwood front panel design
specialists,  they might change its feng shui to look more like you think
you want it. My impression is that Ten Tec is a home grown outfit and
anything that changes its character will raise more stink than hams on a
reflector.
Teriyaki is not BBQ from Memphis. Both are good. Ive had both and Ill take
Ten Tec with the spicy sauce.
