Reddish cast?  Did you get an Orion with a color screen :-)

The only time I've ever had problems like you describe, it was 
caused by a fault in my power supply which resulted in low voltage 
output under load.  But that was the day I got the Orion over a year 
ago.  Nothing like that since, on any release ...
