Hi Paul,
I don't know of a locking version of the power pole. Amp does make a power
pole type connector.

To improve the standard Universal MATE-N-LOK solder across the notch at the
end of the wire barrel. If you are making up a new cabel extend the wire end
across this notch before you crimp and solder to improve the current
handling. This is a narrow area of the contact and soldering across this
area seems to help the high current handling of these contacts. Also make
sure to tighten the fit between the pin and socket. You can tighten the
socket with a small jewelers screw driver.

Speaking of AMP Mate-N-Lock connectors, does anyone know if a locking
version of the Anderson Power Pole connector is available?  The AMP
connectors work reasonably well, but the fit between mating connector pins
takes its toll over time.  At 15-20 DC amps of transmit current, there can
be no forgiveness in the connection.
