My Scout is probably cabled like the Orion.  Each cable has a number that
corresponds to a socket number on the board at the right place to plug it
in.

Pretty simple and all one has to do is read the cable labels.  Well, OK, you
may need an illuminated magnifier to help with that at my eyes age!
