I zero beat using the "spot" button.  It's possible to get pretty
accurate by comparing the spot tone with the signal tone, but it's
hardly efficient, especially for a weak signal.

With just a little more programming, I'd think you could get some kind
of a tuning indicator on the Orion display to make zero beating fast
and easy.
