Mine was fine at turn on but after abt 10 min rcv and xmit on the 10A band
was gone.  New crystalwas cheap $12 maybe and relacement was easy
Setting the freq was the only PIA but I have an old HP 50 MHZ counter and
I learned that 80 M was 200 Hz off so that was an added benefit.
Yes, there is a possibility of component
