Subject: [TenTec] New Orions

It seems there is no warehousing of new Orions, they
are "made fresh" to order.

Anyone have any idea how long the job takes?

I wonder if the boards building process is 100%
automated, and how much individual attention each one
requires.

There may have been a fair amount of manual labor
involved in wiring up an OMNI VI, at the least they
needed to secure the boards to the chassis and plug in
all those connectors.

I'd expect they would have engineered it to take less
time with Orion.

It could be that it takes longer to test them after
they are hooked together than it does to assemble the
parts.

Anyone privy to the operation in the skunkworks?
