My own opinion, for what it's worth, as a near 100% CW op: The computer
sending, though theoretically technically perfect, sounds so artificial
that I find it not the best to copy. The keyer with iambic paddle has
some individuality, but by far the best is the plain old straight key
when in the hands of a real artist. Of course that breed is few and far
between, but the sound is pure music. (I use an iambic paddle and have
enough trouble sending copyable with it.) How many traffic ops remember
W3ADE who would have celebrated his 100th birthday this spring had he
not become a SK a couple years ago. Well past his 95th birthday Lew and
his straight key and his Omni V had no equal!

You woulod probably be interested to know how many times I get a requeat

repeat when I do that. I must believe then that those "real CW ops"
were
using some kind of reader, perhaps a computer to "do" CW.
Like any language, some of us have an accent. <G> 'Puters don't do
accents.
I can still send CW on a straight key with a good fist at 22 WPM. If
you
can really copy CW, that is.
