All this goes back to the phase noise introduced by PLL circuits and the 
steps we've gone through to reduce it.

Having owned a pair of OMNI-Ds with the same low noise reciever,  it's hard 
to adjust to newer rigs,  The Orion was really the only rig that convinced 
me to let go of the OMNI-D's
