Has anyone tried the Force12 verticals?

Aren't they also center fed vertical dipoles?

Tnx.
Rick

<<<The 10dB between the zepp with ladder line and the Titan most likely had
almost everything to do with how poor the Titan is on 75 and almost nothing
to do with ladder line. A GAP Challenger also covers 75 -- meaning only
that it presents a nominally resonant 50 ohm load. Almost anything else you
can put in the air will radiate significantly better, open wire feed or not
:-)

mistake here; i was in a hurry and wrote 75 meters last night; in the
clarity of morning, i recalled that the comparisons were on 40, still, the
gap antenna isn't real great there either, but much better than 75.
however as Rick said, the polarity makes some difference and the guy on the
other end was pretty close, about 200 miles away, so of course a cloud
burner would do better. the gap on 40 is a little better at a few thousand
miles out but a lot also depends on conditions and the direction of the
station i'm working. regardless of take off angle etc. i think the bal.
fed wire ant. is more efficient than the gap. i think probably more rf is
getting into the air with the bal. feed, and parallel L network matching
circuit. The gaps do okay in their middle bands from my experience. titan

is okay on 20, 17, 15. 40 is so so. don't know about 10, 12 but i have
heard it isn't very good there. maybe there is loss in the coax stubs. 75

prob. is because ant. is so physically small i'm betting.
