Hi Perry,

Great Information! Yes I checked out my Paragon II manual, and sure 
enough there is a control line which causes RX input RF to bypass the 
first amplifier stage only when in 0.100 - 1.7 MHz. Looks like I could 
just disconnect one cable for a quich test of this. It is connector 16 
on the first mixer schematic.
