[TenTec] Old Omni/30 mtrs

Hi, am new proud owner of an early Omni D, series B that I picked up 
at WY state convetion for $50..... it has receive only on 30 mtrs..
nothing in the manual about enabling transmit for 30 mtrs... how do I 
enable 30 mtr xmit?
thought I would check with the wider family before bothering the 
friends in Sevierville
