Ah, the answer to this is simple.

... Straight Key ... 

Sorry, couldn't resist.  I've been rediscovering the old-fashioned
straight key.  My keyer and oh-so-sweet Kent paddles are put away for
now so all I have is the simple Speed-x key.  You know what, it is fun.
My fist is definitely improving which is plus to the poor OM on the
other end.

I wonder what the % of straight key usage is.  I bet it is very low with
most using a bug, iambic keyer or (eeek gads) a PC.
