He Mike, fine business that you also think the diodes are the key. I have obtained some tuner deals at swaps when I asked and got permission to put a diode test DVM across the diodes and proved they were kaput! Went home and dug into my 1N34 collection and had a working tuner with a couple dabs of soldering.
