the 572 is pretty much a drop in replacement for a 811, BUT you can buy 3
brand new 811's at ameritron, for about $50 or buy 1 572 for $60.

most rigs can not use the extra "room " available in the 573's vs. 811 so
most of the time its a waste of $$ . for example the 811 series amp by
ameritron
uses four 400 volt caps in the power supply for a 1600 volt max, and
cannot get any higher, so the 527 is basically a big waste of $ in most amps.

the reverse is not true, I.E. do not use an 811 in place of a 572 as the
2200 volts on the plate lets out all the factory smoke in an 811.. YMMV

As to using 572B's in the Centaur 411, there is no advantage unless the
power supply is adequately beefed up to take advantage of the increased
dissipation and thus higher output rating.
