No, you don't 'need' any extra cooling,
Many hams have built a tube warmer,
We just use a socket and filiment transformer with the voltage set properly.
mounted in any old chasis that will hold em..
Hoever, for some of the hotter filiments, I've been known to put a box fan
at the bottom of the warmer blowing up,
