Phil,
Welcome aboard. Similar to your story, I was a ham for 26 years before 
trying a Ten Tec radio. My experience was so positive that most of my shack 
is now Ten Tec. To cut to the chase, may your experience with Ten Tec be as 
positive as mine has been. I only wish I had come around to them sooner, 
and I cannot say enough nice things about their service, products, and value.
That being said, the reflector is an entirely different story.
I remain on this reflector because occasionally some good ideas are passed 
around.
Anyhow, congrats on the new radio. I look forward to working you on the air.
