I have read most of the posted modifications for easy access to the RF power control from an external pot on the back to using the mic gain pot. Have any gone with a small pot mounted on the bottom of the chassis below the present access hole for the board mounted RF pot? It just seemed this would give access and maintain the originality of the SCOUT. The reason I ask is that this sounds too practical and there must be a reason it is not/has not been a recommended method. Alan KB7MBI Woodinville, WA |
