Thank you Grant for the excellent table comparing the NR performance in
the V1.37x and v2 firmware.

I was in the process of deciding which version of 1.37x to return to. I
do not have the luxury of a/b comparison but have become convinced that
I cannot pull up weak signals out of the noise with 2.056 even close to
the way I could on 1.372. So I am reluctantly going back 1.372b5
until 2.05x better comes along.

I do really like the stability of 2.056. The control code and sweep
work much better than before, along with simultaneous NR and AN so I
really hope that NR and various other artifacts in 2.056 get sorted out
in the near future.

I have also confirmed that AN does not work when NR is on in 1.37x versions.

Aloha,
John KH7T

         -----------------------------------------------------
3 Khz +6.7dB +6.5dB +6.5dB +0.4dB +1.0dB
2 Khz +5.4dB +5.5dB +5.4dB -0.7dB no data
1 Khz +3.5dB +3.7dB +3.6dB -0.8dB -0.4dB
500 Hz +1.0dB +0.5dB +0.5dB -1.2dB -1.0dB
100 Hz -0- -0- -0- -0.9dB -2.0dB

Clearly, by this metric, there is a substantial difference between 1.3x and
2.0x versions of NR (stating the obvious)
