Understand completely.  I've been using the W9WBL VSL, his original 
Vertical Single Lever paddle.  (With my TenTec Scout)  Precision 
milled from brass, with spring tensioning.  Never needs 
cleaning!  :-)  Mine is very dark and dusty from many years of 
mobiling, but it has never needed contacts cleaned and never needs 
re-adjusting.

Problem is Stan ceased production 5+ years ago to manage another 
business.   Hope he someday restarts production.
