Generally I've found a setting of 53, SP 3, TX EQ 5dB, TX Filter BW 3000,
gets a good report from the more critical folks. My voice is in the low
tenor range.

at least, I seem to have settled on 60 for the mic gain and +5 dB for the TX
EQ.
