The purpose of a receive only antenna jack is to allow you to use a
different antenna for receiving than transmitting. When there is a lot of
atmospheric noise such as thunder crashing, it often helps to use a beverage
antenna for receive. These antennas will hear DX station better than noise
and provide a significant improvement in copying weak stations that would be
below the noise on the transmit antenna.

So, you would connect a receive antenna to the RCA jack in the back of the
radio and slide the switch to RX to use the receive only antenna. This will
cause your transmit signal to go out on you main antenna, and the receiver
to be connected to the receive only antenna.

Now, with the slide switch in TRX, you are correct. You can connect your
rx320 antenna connection at this point and the rx320 will be receiving on
the single antenna connected to the main antenna input on the corsair.

I hope this helps.
