I wouldn't do it. Not at full power, anyway, and if you can't run the
Centurion at or near full power then what's the point of spending the $$$ on
a Centurion. You will draw too much current for your 120v line causing your
breaker to trip. Also, the line fuses supplied by Ten Tec are rated for a
current draw at 240v. If you run that puppy on a 120v line, you will have to
increase the line fuse rating. Bottom line - if you can't install a 240v
service in your shack, forget the Centurion and look for something that will
run efficiently and SAFELY with a 120v service!
Good Luck,

Subject: [TenTec] Centurion Amplifier - 110 volt?
Hello all:
I am interested in the Ten Tec Centurion amplifier and was wondering if
anyone has run this amp on 110v ? It will be very difficult to get 220v
into the shack.
If not the Centurion I would be interested in recommendations for 1kw amps
that can run on 110v.
Thanks
Ed W3ETC
