I also used an Astron 35M with an Icom 751A for about 13 years. I did have
to replace the 723 regulator twice, and with the third failure some
transistors. I gave it to a fellow ham who repaired it and is still using
it.

Charles, Let me sell you this gud asrton ss-30m ps I got. You lucked out
and got gud ones. The regular Astron 35m I got several years humed better
than a church choir. I checked and tightened everything on it and it still
hums. So to cut some of it back, I place on board with 2 small sections of
thick carpet on board. Helped some. The switcher ss-30m was only 6 months
old when it started to act funny. Gud Luck with yours. CUL Roger W4IV

I have used an Astron SS-30M with a Jupiter for over four years with no
known problems. I purchased a second Astron SS-30M for use with the Orion
II, it has been in use for almost four months, no apparent problems.
