is a very good description (First 4 pages - pages 13,14,15 and 16) of the NR 
algorithm used (An Adaptive Predictor with Leaky LMS Algorithm) in the V1 Orion 
code and in the early releases of the V2 Code (I don't know about later 
releases of the V2 Code).

Actually, you can find many of the Orion V1 Firmware design concepts in the 
four part QEX article you referenced (Also in Doug Smith's book published by 
the ARRL - "Digital Signal Processing Technology).
