As I recall, a square wave is rich in odd order harmonics but weak in even
order harmonics. In fact, a prefect square wave would have no even order
harmonics ( I think ). I didn't do the math but try it out and see if that has
anything to do with it. If it is a divide by 5 divide by 2, it should be a
near
ideal square wave. If it is a divide by 2 divide by 5, or shift register or
some
other way of betting divide by 10, then it would not be an exact square wave
and all bets are off.
